A Foggy & Wet Walk In The Woods

It’s 9:30am on a Thursday and it’s so dark, dull and we outside that you’d think it was a lot earlier than that with the limited light. The morning was slow. I took my time getting ready and Stewart cut his hair and trimmed his beard. It got to around 11:40am and Stewart had left the house for a opticians appointment (that when he arrived wasn’t until next Thursday.) I looked out the living room window and saw that it was also foggy and knew that what I wanted to do was go take some photographs in the fog!

Autumnal coloured trees, in a wet and foggy environment, that is my aesthetic all over.

It took us a while before we decided where to go but we chose quite a local wood to go to so that it didn’t take up a massive part of the day, light was limited as it was, we didn’t want to be out so long that we were photographing in the dark.

Chambers farm wood, a location we’ve only really visited in the summer so it was nice to be able to go back and see it under a completely different atmosphere. Also when we’ve been previously it’s been quite busy with dog walkers and families, however this time it was beautifully quiet – very cold – but never the less a great way to blow off those cobwebs.

I’m not going to lie, I loved the damp environment, I was absolutely in my element, however, Stewart, was not.

All photographs were taken with a Canon 6D

We walked the trail around the wood and by the end of the trail we were more than ready to go home as we were cold and damp, Stewart didn’t crack a smile the whole time however, I did catch him doing some strange dance behind me to try and keep warm.

If you got this far, I’m extremely flattered that you’re that interested in my stuff to stay tuned. I’m slowly coming out of my photo hibernation and I can’t wait to start taking more pictures and sharing them with you.
